Cunderdin Year 6/7

Welcome to Year 6!

The class has hit the ground running with a busy start to the year. We have conquered swimming lessons and are honing our skills to compete in the upcoming swimming carnivals.

This year the Year 6 students have been eligible to run for Student Council. We had an excellent number of nominees from the class, demonstrating the enthusiasm and proactive attitudes that are prominent in this cohort. The students prepared and shared speeches at an assembly and then participated in voting. Two members of the class have been appointed Student Councillors and all nominees put up a good fight and responded to the news with brilliant maturity.

Our class has also joined forces with the Year 2/3 class as part of a buddy program. So far this year we have combined buddy fitness on a Friday morning. The classes have been delighted with their buddies and already the teachers have seen great leadership, mentoring and friendship skills.

This term is full of upcoming events, including, World Education Games, ShockProof incursion, Scitech incursion and our assembly item.
